The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club which was established on 22nd June 1894 and held its first walk on 23rd June. It is the oldest such club in Victoria and probably in Australia. The Club motto À Votre Santé [to your health] neatly captures the spirit of the Club and its objectives of walking, talking, good companionship and entertaining engagement, with an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is limited to 75 and is by invitation only.
